What you cover in fifteen minutes
- What you own: individual, workplace, or both; term or permanent; face amount; who is listed as beneficiary.
- What it was bought to do: final expenses, income, mortgage, business, or something that has since changed.
- What has changed in the household and in the health and work facts a carrier would eventually evaluate.
- Whether a different rate or path may be worth exploring — including conversion vs a new application.
You do not need a complete medical file on the call. You need an honest sketch so the next step, if there is one, is sequenced.
Informal vs formal
An informal conversation (or, later, an informal inquiry to a carrier when that process fits) is a way to test fit without creating the same documented decision path as a signed application.
A formal application is a different act. Answers are certified. Authorized records may be checked. The carrier’s decision can become part of the history other carriers may consider. That is why this review is deliberately not an application.
What this is not
- Not a quote engine.
- Not a guarantee of a better rate, a better class, or a better path.
- Not medical, legal, or tax advice.
- Not underwriting. Gregory M. Sloan is a Licensed Insurance Representative. Carriers underwrite. He does not.
Just 32% of consumers believe they are knowledgeable about life insurance. 53% prefer speaking directly with a financial professional. 71% either have or are looking for a financial professional to help with their finances (2026 Insurance Barometer Study, LIMRA and Life Happens). A 15-minute review is that conversation aimed at coverage you already have.
A confidential 15-minute annual review with Gregory M. Sloan, CLU®, ChFC®, Licensed Insurance Representative. Not an application. Not a quote engine.
